Sophia Lapat has over nine years of public relations experience. She has worked in a variety of industries, including interior design, beauty, fashion, food and nutrition, entertainment, not-for-profit, corporate communications and digital media. Sophia has developed and executed in-depth communication plans for start-ups, as well international corporations. She has a proven track record in securing top media placements and producing successful Press Events/Conferences for new showroom openings, new product launches, special exhibits, and much more.
Most recently, Sophia served as Public Relations Manager for MMPI for four years, handling PR efforts for the Design Center at The Merchandise Mart, LuxeHome (luxury kitchen and bath boutiques), Architects & Designers Building (NYC), Washington Design Center (DC), LA Mart (LA), and National annual Consumer and Trade Shows, including the Architectural Digest Home Design Show and One of a Kind Show and Sale.

She graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication with a BA in Public Relations and a Concentration in Journalism.
